PUBLIC PRIZE POOL = 1 SBD / each

  • From Each Post of a Photo Game Star
  • Prizes will go up in future weeks
Vote and Follow and it will happen faster

TIME LIMIT

  • For this game you have 2 days to guess
  • Winners announced on Wednesday’s game (usually morning)

RULES FOR PUBLIC

  • If only one person gets the correct (Closest) focal length they will win full prize pool
  • If multiple people guess correctly (tie for 1st): 50% to first person / 50% divided between the next 5 people
  • One guess per comment
  • Two guesses per blog post
  • No editing your guess

RULES FOR PHOTO GAME STARS (This weeks posting players)

  • The “Photo Game Star” must piggyback on YOUR guesses (They can’t give hints just say who’s guess they join)
  • As with all Photo Games the weekly “Stars” are not part of the monetary awards
  • They get two guesses
  • Only one winner per post
  • 1 Photo Game point given out per post.
  • Points are added to their total for the week

STRATEGY TIP

  • We enjoy strategy as long as it creates a fun and non-destructive environment
  • Example: Perfectly acceptable to give a super compelling and yet BS reason for your first guess and then give a low key guess at the end if you are certain of the answer. Just remember if someone beats you to the answer they get the bigger prize. _Who will you trust… your intuition?
  • You can also flaunt your answer if you know you’re right and you are first … and then people will never know if you’re throwing people off your track or you really did get it right.

Nice pic dude! 200mm perhaps, perchance to dream!

You hope that's right I bet!

Ugh, how did you know!? You see right through my prickly exterior to the soft and bubbly innards.

You failed me!! Off by 20MM ... how could you!! Sneak in and break into his computer YumYum!!

I'm a failure! And as @aweber told you, you can call me yum for short! lolol

My first guess hasn't been said yet but 200mm is my other guess so I'm gonna back this guess!
Everyone traveling to a place that has wildlife usually has or rents a 70-200 or has a 55-200 kit lens.
Then they max it out trying to get in as close as they can.

Also the compression of the mountain towards the foreground has me on the high end. Also 300mm guesses were taken. haha

You guys!!! You're making this platform so goddamn good!

Who even came up with this concept? It is freakin' genius!

Ah... I feel like I've been tricked... I zoomed in real close and that Elk's eye gave me nothing. Nothing. Just a love of grass.

This is a tricky one... there's so much in this shot, and I'm sure Elk are easily startled so you couldn't have gotten too close. I think Seth is right on the money, but I'm going to go 300mm focal length just to be contrary.

Haha! To be fair, this is not my idea. I'm just along for the ride! The idea train was pioneered by @jarvie, @derekkind and @caseygrimley if I'm not mistaken.

(I did laugh at the "love of grass")

I hear they're dreamy! haha

You seriously couldn't see anything in the elk's eye? Now I know I'm going to win!

The "lens in the reflection of the elk's eye" is obviously a metaphor, and the answer is obviously 42mm, but since no one has said 42mm I'll back your 300mm.

Dammit... if I was in my dressing gown I would have understood alllllll of this.

As long as you know where your towel is.

Of course, it's obviously the most important thing I carry.

Of course, I could tell you're a frood.

185 mm brother

Duly noted my man! Wednesday we will see who the winner is!

Good job on winning ... i was so close with the 200mm guess!!

If brother ... close to 200 ... thank you these games are crazy hahahaha I play them daily, thanks to all

Happy to hear it!

That mountain is the real MVP. What a grat shot. I hate to be a sheep(or elk) in this but I'm going with 300mm.

Good guess! You're potentially right! And yet so very potentially wrong!

Uh oh.

Love deers, and this one is so beautiful!

I love deer as well... how do you feel about elk? Even better right? :)

I'm so used to saying deer because we don't have elk over here! Would love to see one, their antlers are so impressive.

and I'm going to say 500mm !

Big money!

Yup - All in!!

UK right? I can understand then you have species of deer out there that have super impressive antlers!

Yes UK :) ! Yeah I love red deer over here, but that elk looks pretty impressive!

Awesome shot, love the idea of this game! I'm going with 149mm!

I'm backing this one. It just feels like 149. :)

Oh great guess! You could be right, and you might be dead wrong! Only Tim and his Time will tell.

Timely Tim is back at it again!

I feel like the mountain is going to come crashing down on me! I'm gonna say 300mm.

Best watch out! Having an elk and mountain chase you could be dangerous for your health.

Or the best thing to happen to you. You know the amount of running it would take escape all that?! Pretty sure it would jumpstart my heart and lungs into a path of optimum health. ;)

nice.
I love the scenery

I'm going with 400mm. I counted the trees in the background and there were 400 of them, therefore the focal length would definitely have to be 400... Nice shot!

300mm

240mm :D

trying to type 250 but it shows 1?
