It is so nice to have the photogames back, I was starting to miss it!
On the other hand you gave me a headache with the theme. Greece has thousands of churches, chapels and monasteries and I have pictures from a few hundreds of them! Still, I have to choose just one so I’ll go with this little chapel from the island of Paros.
I hope that you like it :)

Lovely

Thanks :)

With one day left and 3 votes left I feel pretty comfortable giving this one of my 5 votes!! I love the colors and the brightness!

Wow! Thanks a lot :)

such a close one... I'm gonna split first place with @derekkind ... i can't give him the full vote because i'm not neutral enough. haha

Thank you @jarvie!
I agree that @derekkind entered with a really great picture and that is not subjective. Μaybe if you were sitting on the chair in front of the chapel we could make a proper comparison :)

Shameless appeal to the judge:

You know me too well!!

He's back!!

Lol :D

Haha! Nice one @derekkind.

Thanks, Scott. ;)

I'm trying so hard to be impartial to the fact i'm in it... but it really really is a great shot. I forget how much I like the picture! One of my best portraits i have of me.

So ... I think you win but as a tie with @fotostef

Hahaha, I wasn't even trying to win, I just wanted to make you laugh. But thanks, means a lot to me that it's one of your favourites. :D

I shot this one at a cemetery in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Not sure if it qualifies but it's still a building right?

Color, light and everything puts this into my top 5 with a full vote.

Woohoo! Glad you like that one and thank you!

no... thank you!

Inside the Sagrada Familia... Gotta love those colours!

The sunlight through colorful stained glass is breathtaking!

First to post deserves one of the full votes!
Plus I like the awesome colors from those windows!!

Agreed!

Great colors

thanks so much!! It was almost a fairytale seeing these colours paint the inside of the church. I hadn't planned my visit to be able to see it, I was just extremely lucky when I walked around it to see this. I've seen some stained glass in my life, but never this way. Maybe it was that the glass was so new that the effect was so clear? Beats me! I will always remember the Sagrada Familia for this great feature :)

It's like a rainbow! Beautiful capture

Am I too late? I didn't see that post earlier :(

Yes too late but I gave you a large vote anyway because I love this picture!!

Oh! Thank you so much! That is really kind.

In the photo you can see the Orthodox Church "Khram Vozneseniya Gospodnya Za Serpukhovskimi Vorotami" that is situated in Moscow in the city centre not far from my university. On the sunny day it looks very beautiful when the sun is reflecting in the golden cross on the very top of the dome.

And a post with background info on this amazing Mezquita - a mosque turned cathedral.

As I walked along the streets in Washington, DC while on vacation in mid-March of 2017, I stopped to take a photo of this gorgeous church that appeared to be highlighted from above by the warm sun shining in the bright blue sky and outlined with fluffly cumulus clouds. Stained glass windows are always the first thing that catch my eye in churches -- this one did not disappoint!

Though in my city mosques are far more than churches, but there is this Vank church, a historical place that people come to visit.

Great shot of this cathedral

Thanks ; )

WINNERS = @derekkind and @fotostef
I just couldn't decide and i think @derekkind will understand I can't give him the full win because i'm a not impartial enough. But they split and each get 1sbd (and the vote... which steem has gone down so much it's not quite what it used to. haha)
