This is a celebration photo from a special moment in my son @enak's life - high school graduation!!! I know, I've been posting a lot of photos that include my son lately... But he's moving out of the house and into his college dorms in less than a week so he's been on my mind a bit more than usual. I'm incredibly excited for him and the awesome future that awaits him. This transition from high school to college, from "child" to "adult", from living at home to being on his own is definitely worth celebrating. It's also impossible not to be a little sad about the situation as a parent. My wife @athompsoncpa and I are about to be "empty nesters" :( I'm definitely more happy than sad about the situation but things are going to feel weird around the house without him.
The photo above was shot on a Canon 5DS R with a 24-105mm lens set at 60mm. I was shooting handheld and I knew this moment was coming soon so I set the shutter speed at a fairly fast speed of 1/400 second in order to "freeze" the caps in mid-air. The ISO and aperture weren't too terribly important to me during the shoot so they were ISO 200 and an aperture of f6.3. The lens image stabilization was on since it was a handheld shot.
@enak, I know it's been a couple months now... but again, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Everyone you know is super proud of you and we all know you are going to be awesome at whatever you put your mind to. Have fun and good luck in college!
Thank you for looking and reading!
