Humming birds are frequently attracted to colorful flowers and shrubs...you can understand why this one was fluttering around this beautiful Lantana flowering shrub. Lantana plants are known for their vibrant colors of red, purple, orange and yellow...and sometimes mixed colors. Their foliage has an aroma that smells like citrus. I took this photo in southern California where Lantana plants bloom year round particularly in frost-free locations.
