Darjeeling is a city and a municipality in Rajyadarjeeling district of West Bengal, India. This city is situated at the height of 7,100 ft (2164.1 m) above the surface of the Mahabharata ridge in the lower Himalayas. Although there is administrative administration in West Bengal, local administration of Darjeeling district of Darjeeling district has the power of partial autonomy. Thousands of tourists visit here every year to see the magnificent beauty of Kanchanjunga and the magnificent sunrise of Tiger Hill.
