Hey Steemians! I've been busy the past three days preparing for my trip to Europe; I'm sorry it's been a few days since my last update. A lot went into preparations for equipment and software, etc. I also have been shooting in between all the prepping. It's going to be a crazy next two weeks! But super stoked to make some video blogs just for Steemit!
In this post I go over gear and plans for the next three weeks
If you didn't already know I'm planning on Vlogging specifically for Steemit during my trip to Europe over the next couple of weeks. I wanted to give a quick update and let you know that I leave tomorrow and I also wanted to show you some of the gear I'm bringing along.
My first stop is Venice, Italy. I'm there for only three nights but I do have a shoot with TV/film personality Chiara. We are going to do some artsy photography one evening; I'll tell you more in a Vlog post :)

3 Camera bodies: Canon 5D and Nikon D800 for video. Nikon FE 35mm film camera for some artsy stuff.
Here's where the magic all comes together: my MacBook Air and Western Digital 2TB external hard drive. I also got a copy of Adobe Premiere installed so the editing will all take place on the Air...hopefully no hiccups; I'm testing out this editing rig for the first time right now. Update it appears Premiere and Youtube is working fine off the new drive and software!

A lot of preparation went into making all of this happen. I'm using my Steem to pay for the gear and trip...it's a new social experiment for me. Hopefully this will be a success so I can do more trips like this and inspire others to do similar projects.

I've been to Italy a few times. It's absolutely beautiful there. I've never been to Croatia, but my neighbors are from there. apparently it's just as beautiful. Travel advice - i live near Venice (Padova) but im originaly from Pula (near Porec) - when youre there, go visit Rovinj - its a beautiful little city (much prettyer than Porec), and Pula is also very nice if you like Roman ruins. Oh and dont eat the icecream in Croatia - its really terrible!!

Verry cool! Sound like you will have a blast. And I spotted the real film in your bag. Looks like Illford and Kodak. Millions of years ago I shot 35mm with a Pentax ME. Mostly used Kodak Tri-X BW but I liked shooting Ektachrome slide film. Now that I shoot digital I get the results immediately. But the limitations of having 30 exposures on each role teaches you to go slower and try to get it right each time.

I shoot both, but I also get certain results from film that digital just can't produce. If it weren't a pain in the arse, I would shoot exclusively with film.

Yep, I remembering doing an event shoot for a friend and finding out the film did not advance in the camera. Also loading the BW film in development reels and developing by hand. On my Pentax I changed film all the time but only changed batteries once a year. Now I shoot hundreds of pics on a card but change batteries.

It's spreading bit by bit. There is a lot of miners and in general it's nice vibe around different forums. Mostly btc is used for utility costs and gas. There is also some companies starting to build some blockchain based apps, mostly related to tourism. As tourist destination it's a must to start more ATMs around coast, so I hope there'll be more in nearby future.
