My morning at the Dr's, the consequences and some interesting "fishies".

Snip from their website
Today was my first meeting/interview with anyone from this Orthopedic practice.
Of course, as always, I was there early. Apparently they don't really open for
Business until 7 am.

When I got there, this person was all there was, and one young lady behind the
counter, busily putting stuff away (this was a few min before 7 am.)
She said "I have one before you, I'll get to you in a few minutes" and continued
doing her job, which, last thing was to come out to the waiting area,
spraying something like Lysol on all the seats, wiping the
door handles with disinfectant etc...
That lady with her back to me jumped up and said
"That's not good for people who have asthma" and walked around,
fanning with her magazine, even retreating at one point into that open
doorway beside the water fountain.
(I'm thinking "Really? How would your asthma fare if you were exposed to
TB or MERSA [the lady behind the counter agreed with me])
So when she got up and went to the counter, in her seat she left a little
plastic candy wrapper.
I pointed it out to her too, before she left the room.

My Newest Self Portrait
They had a very large fish tank in that waiting area, which to me,
Seemed to need far more water in it.

They were mostly crowded to that side I observed as I went around,
So I must assume they'd just been fed.

"The Consequences"

I only met a nurses aide (took my BP, it was high; no surprise there),
then a Physician's Assistant who, when I told her the surgeon's name
I've been assigned to, said "Oh Good! He is the one I work most with".
Questions were asked or course, demonstrations ("can you lift your leg")
then she let me go.
I have an appointment to see the Surgeon this Thursday morning at
7:30 am in Tucker, which is a bit closer and a lot easier to get to from here.
So my day of reckoning is drawing nigh, and I shall at last be free of this
Debilitating pain.
(we'll not talk about any 'what if's)

Howdy sir jerrytsuseer! sorry you gotta go to the doctors. What did you say it was for, knees or hips?

Hip replacement. This post was from the initial visit to the office.
Three days later I went in and met the surgeon at another
Office where they will actually do the surgeryI think
I still have to get permissions and documents from my past
Doctors before anything can be scheduled, and my authorization
For surgery runs out in May (that's the VA for you, they didn't
Connect me with this Dr until Feb. Authorization runs from
Nov '18-May '19

haha! Dealing with the VA sounds like a very frustrating experience!
