Can't beat a Northern Alberta Sunset

in photography •  8 years ago  (edited)

I am at a campground on Lesser Slave Lake in Northern Alberta tonight and this is my amazing view. It is almost 11pm and still pretty light out but the sun is setting now.

It's Canada's birthday this weekend and we are out enjoying the celebrations.

Have a good weekend all! IMG_0385.JPG

Nice !
Northern Alberta ....ohhh... somewhere, in the middle of nowhere... :)
Canada is so huge...must be a millions of lovely places

Thanks @onealfa. Yeah, I suppose it is sort of in the middle of nowhere! So many beautiful spots around here for sure!

Beautiful sunset. For some reason I always think of Canada covered in 6 feet of snow. You must be pretty near the Arctic circle to have such a late sunset. Me too. :)

Thanks ! It's pretty nice here right now. We are on the 55th parallel actually so not quite as far north as the artic circle ... haha. 😀 No snow for a couple of months yet (hopefully😉)

The furthest north I have been was to Buffalo NY. The first snows of winter were massive lol 6 feet drifts and people just carried on as normal. 1 inch in London and everything stops. lol

Oh yeah we don't stop for snow or cold 😀

We stop for a cup of tea and a slice of cake whenever the wind changes. Very civilised lol

Dat sunset tho
