We went for a hike around the village of Tragöß, where the 'grüne See' (literally green lake) is located.
Throughout the year the water levels are vastly changing. right now it's on it's moderate size. during summer levels are low, while in early spring the water can be about 2 meters higher than what you see on the pictures.
The color derives from the alga on the floor, while the water itself is crystal clear.
It's a picturesque spot, but can be quite crowded when the weather is good. But for sure it's a great spot to start a hike into the surrounding mountains.
