I just spent almost an hour weeding out a patch of gravel beside the driveway. for the first time that i can recall, there was an over abundance of parsley which i thought seemed very odd. thought at first it was a weed but based on the aroma and the super thick roots, i have concluded that the green stuff overtaking this patch of gravel was in fact parsley.
i have questions....
is it weird for parsley to show up out of the blue? does it grow in the wild? why is it thriving so well in my driveway? should i be concerned or perhaps i might have stumbled on a new type of edible ground cover....
i pulled out dozens and dozens of these guys! but on a less puzzling vegetative note, i was able to pick a whole quart of tomatoes from my humble little plant today. pretty excited about trying them out. suppose i should make a salad of some kind. hmmmm, wonder what i could garnish it with .....
UPDATE: first homegrown tomato salad was a success! the addition of the rogue parsley as a garnish made (as expected) no difference whatsoever
