Pashupatinath, the largest Hindu temple complex in Nepal, and also one of four most important religious sites for the devotees of Lord Shiva in Asia, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979.
The Bagmati River runs through the temple complex and is the site for cremations along its banks.
Here are some shots I took at Pashupatinath.
One of the many souvenir stalls lining the entrance into Pashupatinath Hindu temple complex in Kathmandu, Nepal. The multi-coloured powder is sold for the celebration of the Holi festival.

Definitely a souvenir collector’s haven!

Intricate wood carved windows and big door seen at Pashupatinath
A Hindu cremation ceremony in progress at the Pashupatinath. Cremations are carried out on raised platforms provided along the Bagmati River within the temple complex
Yogis or sadhus are such colourful characters… Found this group within the grounds of the temple, and when I moved to take a picture, they promptly asked for payment! With some covering their faces when I didn’t… Oh well, thank goodness for zoom…

Thank you, Eliza! :) Yes, so many interesting facets of Nepal, and in fact wherever we travel... Black and white tells such a different story than the colour shots!

Thank you, Alvin! You should... even after the 2015 earthquake, many still say it's worthwhile to visit... :)
