For anyone that is curious this lens goes for $899 USD.

I'd like to invest in a new lens or two, will probably need to find a cheaper one though =/ Have you shot with the NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G ? At around $450 it's more in my price range. Maybe even the f/1.8

    50mm 1.8 is one of the most used ones... and you can macro with it... if you put it upside down
    using a cheap adaptor
