On top of Durie Hill (Whanganui, New Zealand) stands the Durie Hill War Memorial Tower that commemorates the 513 people from the Whanganui district who died in the First World War. The tower is 33.5 meter high. With the observation deck at 113 meter above sea level, the tower offers amazing views over Whanganui City. Yet, it was walking down the 176 steps that I was struck by a beautiful image opportunity.
