On the way to La Llovizna National Park - Bolivar State 2015 part II 🌿 🌊 🌳

in photography •  5 years ago  (edited)

Hello guys! Here I come with the second part of my previous post about this trip I made to Bolívar State in 2015.

After two days in Ciudad Bolívar, we hit the road again to go to Ciudad Guayana, the city where my friend moved when she was little and after her mom remarried. So we went there and I visited where she was living at that time. But here I'll show you some shots I made while being on the road and our later visit to La Llovizna National Park.

On the road 🚐 🌅

We were in the "Old Road Ciudad Bolívar - Ciudad Guayana" and in here you can see some of the Caroní river since it reaches this road as you see in the picture above.

We were in the back of the pickup truck style car of my friend's father, so we could enjoy the fresh air while taking these shots.

River beach and swimmers 🌴 🏊 🐊

There was a part of the road that was over the Caroní river. In this photo above you can have a better view of that big mountain which is a big rock called "Piedra del Elefante" (Stone of the Elephant) and also you could see a "river beach" on the right.

River beach

These "river beaches" are very common in this state, since this is a part of the country that has no connection with the sea and that has a hot and "jungle weather" with many rivers. I always remember my mom telling me of her and my dad going to the "white sand" Caroní river beaches on the weekends and eating some barbecue, more specificly iguana barbecue xD. People were enjoying the river beach, grilling iguanas, while some iguanas were passing next to them lol

River swimmers

Swimmers.

One of my favorite shots.

La Piedra del Elefante 📍🎴

La piedra del elefante

La Piedra del Elefante (The Stone of the Elephant) is a tourist attraction which is basically a very old big stone that looks like an elephant if you watch it frontally, and even has some cave paintings on its slopes (today hidden by the bushes).

A very interesting attraction to see, full of history about these lands.

Now, this is where it looks like an elephant.

La Llovizna National Park 🌊🌿

"La Llovizna" National Park is formed by a portion of the Caroni's lower islands and falls, a part of the park contains a grid of 30 islands connected by numerous stone walkways and heavily wooded natural trails. At the end, there's the sixty-foot waterfall "La Llovizna" as the highlight of the park, a waterfall on the Caroní river, close to its confluence with the Orinoco.

So we finally arrived to Ciudad Guayana and made a stop at the park to have a little walk for me to visit.

This is what I call a perfect spot for a picnic (without the branches)

Love the water here.

I wish we could have stayed longer in the park to see the stunning La Llovizna Falls at the end, but I'm still glad I could take these shots. This was the second part of my visit to Bolívar State in 2015 and there might be a short third part but I'm still deciding. If you could tell me what you think of these shots I'll be pleased to read it in your comments! Please feel free to tell me what you think of them, thank you very much for watching and reading till here!

Greetings! :)
