AJJPS - Summer day at London's Knightsbridge & Hyde Park by the Serpentine lake (Photography)

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

I decided to take my Canon for a spin and walked to Knightsbridge to snap a couple of interesting pictures. The light conditions were excellent on this bright and sunny summer day ! :)

This is the Serpentine lake at Hyde Park

As it was nice and sunny, a lot of people came out to relax by the lake side

There was a restaurant and bar on the side of the lake which was quite busy

I took a lot of interesting pictures; this is a random tree at Hyde park, I like how the bark curls off it. Quite artsy :)

The reflections of the sun on the lake's surface resulted in some pretty interesting patterns of dancing light

Shades of blue on calmer waters

There were a lot of boat trips up and down Serpentine lake

The group of Swan's were enjoying the day out, too :)

This is the London skyline from Hyde park, you can even make out the tip of the London Eye!

As the Sun set, this Swan was illuminated by the golden light. It was a visually stunning day!! :D

The pictures were all taken by a Canon SX40 with NO Photoshop or cropping (I used the camera's on board effects) !! The only post editing was subtle watermarking and no other tampering !! :D
