How to shoot MACRO with a regular lens ?

I´m going to show you how to take some cool macro photos with the camera and lens you already have!

First you’ll have to remove your lens from your camera:

Once you’ve released the lens, flip it around, and use your hand to hold it in place:

DONE :D

Yes, you are right, that´s simple and cheap and you can shoot some cool macros like this:

Oh thanks so much for the support and brilliant initiative, upvoted and following

Wow, that's unbelievable!

Yes, and very easy to do.
You can t compare with the quality of dedicated macro lens, but it give interesting results :D

Sadly lost forever now it seems (the image hosting site I was using died over a decade ago) I had previously shot some awesome macro images using the flip method. However I used 2 UV filters JB Welded together to create a coupling ring, and mounted 2 lenses face to face.

One of the images was a cigarette. You could see the pores in the paper it was so close (used a nice telephoto as the flipped lens which essentially turned it into a microscope).

Certainly a LOT of fun to be had experimenting around with stuff like this.

Oh sorry for your lost, i now that feeling :( in my case i don´t know where are the tons of macro i took a long time ago with this same technique, but fortunately i found this 3 pics in one site i had already forgotten :D and decided to share the pics and the tip ;) btw, thanks for passing by, i´m now following you....

Wow this is really cool idea !

Yes :D very easy, cheap and useful for that kind of shoots ;) thanks for passing by and Comment, im following you now :)

I alwredy order makro lenses but its cool to know !

it doesn't work with every lens , 50mm 35mm 28mm are the best options so far , and for +/- $6 , - you can buy a reverse ring on ebay to put on the front of your lens.that way the lens will be mounted to the camera. another thing is that some lenses have electronic aperture and no manual option to change it . so you would probably take pictures at f16 while you want to be at f8.

Oh i didn t knew that it doesn t work with every lens, thanks for share this info ;) im using that reverse ring in this shoots, it helps a lot using this technique... thanks for the tips, upvoted and following you :)

Thanks a lot :)
