Trip from Gerês Village to Ribeiro de Gemesura Dam | Portugal

Today, i finally managed to leave the house with my family and take a walk through the mountains, not only because the weather allowed it, but also because my daughter is already better from the inflammation in her throat.
Unlike the last trails, that were made in the Santa Justa mountain range, today we decided to risk going a little further from home and went to the village of Couce, which is also located next door.
Despite having made some very interesting records and having some observations to make about this output, today i will choose to share another old trip through some records that I took from the external disk and that i ended up compiling and separating by zones, even because i was already preparing for the next few times in the event that i am unable to leave due to weather or another random reason.

Today we are going to take a leap between two different locations in Gerês and of which i have little records, but which are the only necessary for me to be able to physically describe the surrounding space.
When we went to Gerês, one of the central and mandatory stops will always be the small village of Gerês, not only for the small local shops where we can buy some of the most beautiful handicrafts in the region, but also for hotels, restaurants and of course , for the famous Gerês spa and its miraculous waters.

I don´t know if it will be due to age, but i must confess that until today we never enjoy this service that is available there and is like the crown jewel of the village.
So there we went, towards the small village to stop there, have lunch and then in a moment of relaxation and stroll through the surrounding space, trace the itinerary for that afternoon.

What followed was a climb to the "Campo do Gerês" by the old road that passes next to the football field, a path that has always given me immense pleasure to walk through due to the absolutely incredible landscapes we are presented with, a massive landscape in its stone cluster and a whole rocky area, passing by the famous mushroom that even in the distance imposes respect on the horizon and the valleys that lurk to the infinite.

Further ahead, a passage through the dam of the vilarinho da Furnas and a brief stop at the Ribeiro da Gemesura Dam, which is smaller and more hidden, but it is still an interesting landmark in this passage towards the Brufe valleys.
From that route ahead, i think i lost the records or simply got distracted by something so superb that i completely forgot about the camera.
In these days gone by, i never thought that one day i would be sharing some stories and photos of some cities, towns and villages in my country.
Life goes round and round and we can only surf the rounds that life takes.
