The Greek coins minted between 1976 to 2000, featured several ancient figures in the "heads" side. The best coin, in my opinion, was Alexander the Great which I've already featured. Today I will feature all the other coins with ancient figures on them.
In terms of aesthetic value, I think Pericles with his war helmet comes next. Minted on cupronickel (75% copper and 25% nickel that makes the color "white") from 1976 to 1988, the 20 Drachma was a really good looking coin when uncirculated.
Pericles 20 Drachma / Cupronickel:
Following that was Homer, on the 1986-2000 50 drachma denomination, minted on brass and having a very nice gold-looking color while uncirculated / near uncirculated.
Homer 50 Drachma / Brass:
Throughout 1976-2000, two coins that remained constant in their appearance, were the 5 and 10 drachma denominations, depicting Aristotle and Democritus respectively. These two weren't my favorites, in terms of aesthetic appeal.
Aristotle 5 Drachma on Cupronickel (1976-2000):
Democritus 10 Drachma on Cupronickel (1976-2000):
The last coin featured today is the cupronickel 50 Drachma minted between 1980-1984, depicting Solon. This was the biggest wide-circulation coin of the last 40+ years with a diameter of 31mm. People usually avoided having them in their wallets and pockets due to their size, but the Solon depiction was quite good.

(En trans: Hmmm... I'm not collecting paper notes - I may have some, but generally they are not that exciting to me. Aesthetically speaking, the only one that appeals to me is the 1000 drachma note with Apollon and the Discobolus)
