The name of the flower is Night-flowering Jasmine. The jasmine flower blooms at night because this is when its distinct sweet fragrance can be most appreciated. The intense fragrance of jasmine attracts pollinators like insects, as well as other nocturnal creatures. The combination of high humidity and the faint light of the moon creates chemical compounds inside the jasmine flower, which give it a pleasant scent in the dark. Although the flower looks small, it is quite magnificent as its fragrance spreads all around.
