Photographing fire.

Last night we tried out our new fire pit and sat out in the garden till late having a drink, eating, talking and listening to music. It was good as a family to ditch all the screens and technology (Phones were only allowed for the music.) and chill out together.
There is something primordial about sitting around a fire, it's something humans have done since the dawn of our time here on earth. we have gathered around the fire as the sun has set and connected as people and family groups.
Taking photographs of a fire isn't quite as easy as pointing and pressing the button as fire is alive and very active in it's movement. You are taking an action shot of the flames dancing as they devour the wood.
It's easy to see how people have looked into flames and allowed its hypnotic dance to create images in their mind and how sitting around a fire is one of our most ancient traditions in human history.
