A scaly bee fly or humpback fly of class Lepidophora inspecting these beautiful purple buds of a native flower.

This orange Asian lady beetle looks like it's pregnant. It landed to a makahiya(vernacular term) or shame or shy plant leaves.

Insects are fascinating creatures that sometimes we ignore yet they have great value to nature in making our ecosystem as healthy as possible.

They are found everywhere. Their numbers are huge that they almost comprise 3 quarters of all animal species on our planet.
