Dryland Silk Way (part I)

Usual person doesn't need much for happiness: his favourite job to do and some kindness to share with everybody else.
Have you ever watched a race with participation of dogs? Especially when it's not winter and no sign of snow around. But there is such kind of sport when draught dogs compete in a few disciplines, and it's pretty fascinating and fun to watch.

The race is carried under the guidance of regional sled dog racing federation. There are 3 disciplines:

-canicross (CC) - run with 1 dog (6 age groups)

-bikejoring (BJ) - bike race with 1 or 2 dogs (2 disciplines)

-dog scootering (DS) - two-wheeler (scooter) race with 2 dogs

The competition was carried in two days. I've visited the second day when the teams participated in the second stage. After the race the award ceremony was held.

Since the early morning the team memebers warm up the dogs with the help of rubdown and running. There was some time left before the start so I roamed around the camp.

Such wow

The organizers arranged a spot to eat on the territory of the camp. There was no snow, but pretty freezing, so the tea was quite popular among people, the dogs felt quite alright anyway. The alcohol on the territory was forbidden.

Spoiler alert: It's a future champion. The participants of this race were very sociable, optimistic, broadly smiling, and I'm not talking of dogs right now)

I still roam around the camp. Some of the dogs don't warm up and still wait for their masters to rise and shine (just kidding ;)

The press is also preparing along with the referees.

The start is close, time to warm up the paws.

Who cold have guessed that this buddhist tranquility conceals such adrenaline drive?

There are a few minutes before start. The preapration is carried on even on psycological level.
