~♫ Next stop Chichén itzá ♫~ Part -1

Hey there again,

I´m sorry that haven´t done a post for a long time now. I´ve tried to end this post about Chichén itzá. It really took a lot of time, but I won´t show you all in this post. I´ll split it in some.
I think.

I wanted to bring everything I saw and felt on this day through the Computer to you. Well.... I hope it will be as I imagined it. In this post I put so much love into it.

But for now I just wanted you to know that I will be better. I will post much more and I hope you´ll like it.

One reason why I wanted to go to Mexico was to see the incredible Mayan Pyramids and learn more about the Mayas. Why?, I think we could never learn everything from them. What they have did, for example, with the Pyramids and what they knew about Astronomy or Time... it´s unbelievable. How could they learn so much? How could they calculate everything, every day, every year so precise? So many questions, but Humanity will never stop studying them.

It was a really incredible experience to have really been there.

I charged my camera battery and took another SD memory card with me, just to make sure that I could take a lot of pictures. I´m still getting to know my camera and someday, I´ll make some great pictures!

From Playa del Carmen, I first had to drive about 2 hours by bus. Past the town of Pisté and then we were there. I slept most of the time because I´m getting travel sick really fast in a bus or car....

The trip started quite early so we could spend the whole day there to see everything.
The good thing was that there were not so many people in the square. Thus, we were able to take some pictures without too many tourists. In one way it´s good for the pictures but I won´t do this very often. Well... I will try it but I love sleeping XD.

When we finally arrived, we were first equipped with walkie talkies to hear our guide from a little further away. Before we went into the grounds, we could make our own original Handmade Maya Calendar. We just needed to write our name, or two, the date we wanted in this Calendar and we could choose the language for the explanation.

So we finally got our tickets and started walking slowly.

The first thing we saw was a very big old tree right behind the entrance. Our guide said that this tree must be more than thousand of years old. This tree was huge!! I could´nt take a picture of the whole tree.

We came to a bigger area from which you could go in all directions to search out the whole area.
As we went down the lanes to the individual ruins, we could see all the merchants arriving and setting up their stalls,

At first we went to the Osario - High Priest Grave it is a four-sided pyramid with stairs on the four sides ending in serpent heads below.

If you can see it. The snake body crawls up the stairs.

It was a pity that we were not allowed to climb the Pyramids. It used to be that you were allowed to go up, but now it is no longer possible because of the age of every ruin. So we just walked on the ground like all others.

A new year, a new adventure.
