If you don't count on the land of St. Peter in the Vatican, it is considered to be the biggest Roman cathedral in Italy and the Duomo di Milano in Milan.
The construction started in 1386 and was completed in 1905. The Gothic architectural piece Duomo di Milano was shot in 1965. The first Milan cathedral, finished in 355, is completely damaged by the fire in 1075. The baptistery of the old cathedral was ordered in 1386 by the order of Archbishop Antonio da Saluzzo to build a new cathedral with a Romanesque architectural style.
