My favorite time of the year in Colorado is Fall

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

I've lived in Colorado for a few years now, and have learned to get into the mountains as much as possible in September and October to see the leaves change colors on the Aspen trees. This was taken September 25th on a hike on the Colorado Trail at around 10,000 feet above sea level. A few weeks later, all these leaves were gone - you really do have to time it just right.

Kenosha Pass in mid September is a wondrous place, fitting of fantasy novels and national geographic all at once

I was lucky enough to have a date take me here my first fall, and I've been back every September since. Especially weekdays when there's nobody around...
