That time I went to a concert in a 2nd century Roman Theater...

I spent last summer living in Amman, Jordan to intern for a journalism organization there for my graduate school studies. Amman used to be ruled by the Romans back in the day, and still has quite a bit of Roman architecture hanging around the city. The best example of this is the 6000 seat amphitheater just around the corner from the center of downtown. I was lucky enough to score last minute tickets to a traditional Middle-eastern concert here, and was loving seeing the space full of people as it was meant to be. The acoustics were great too, we were all the way in the center back and could hear very well.
