Fun with family at kamakhya temple, one of the most revered shaktipeeth of india
source
A standout amongst the most adored shaktipeeths in India, Kamakhya sanctuary is committed to goddess Kamakhya, a manifestation of Sati. This is where yoniof Sati fell because of Shiva's tandava nritya or move of devastation. The garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) somewhere inside the sanctuary speaks to the hallowed spot and is secured with red luxurious fabric. Worked in the sixteenth century by the Koch King Naranarayan, this sanctuary is the most punctual of the surviving Koch landmarks in Assam.
