もしかして、torachibiさんのおっしゃる郡山は、福島の郡山ではないでしょうか!? そうでなければすみません^^; 奈良の郡山は「大和郡山」という地名なんですが、私たちは「郡山」と呼んでいます。

      そうなんです。明治以降に先に「市」を名乗ったのが福島だったと聞いたことがあります。同じ理由で奈良には「大和高田」という街もあります。
