Hey everyone! Here's another image by my dad.
I'm not sure what the name of it is, but the file said HB Chapel.. So I assume that it's called Hale Bopp Chapel.
This was one of the shots that got my father into photography...
He used to be the most like well known and respected carpenter in Sedona until the job was just becoming too difficult for his muscular dystrophy.. SO he took a chance, bought a camera and got a whole collection of amazing Hale Bopp shots and.. It just spiraled exponentially from there!
He ended up being able to quite carpentry and do photography full time, even though he doesn't get out to film much anymore cause of his condition, he still makes a living selling his art work and some day I hope to also be able to do that with my own photography... :)
It really is an inspiring story, cause.. My father didn't know what he was going to do when carpentry was becoming too much for him.. And he needed to find something, and he went back to a childhood hobby of his.. And gave it a gamble and a try and.. He put his spirit into it.. And it worked.. Even though we're not rich, and we're kinda poor.. My father is a success story in my opinion.. He's someone that quit working for others and created his own business that ended up providing for him.
So.. If you've got a dream, something you'd like to do, if you wanna escape working for others.. I'd say.. Give it a try.. See if it works.. And if it doesn't.. Then at least you can say you tried! And there's a beautiful peace that comes with trying.. Even if you don't succeed. <3
PS... This image was taken in Sedona Arizona, of the Chapel and.. This was on a 35mm camera.. I think a rebel. But not totally sure. I think it's a beautiful shot! And hopefully someday while I'm still alive we get another comet to move through so I can get some neat shots like this. ._.

Good stuff! You picked up a new follower. I couldn't agree more about stepping out and doing what you love and giving it your all to at least say you tried it. I am in that mode right now. Trying what I love and seeing some success. It is tough, and some mornings I wonder if I made the right decision, but at the end of each day I couldn't be happier with the direction things are going because I am picking the direction. Great picture, striking really. Thank you for sharing.

And no.. Now I'm going to go to your page instead and check out your page, and if I like it I'ma give you a follow as well.
I'm not sure if I want to try to reason with them or not, cause usually when I do it seems like there's a language barrier and they're like from Asia or India or somewhere and their English isn't the greatest and they get offended when I try to explain it. At this point.. I'm almost ready to just ignore people who do that.
In response to your message here.. I think that's great you're in that mode right now and trying what you love to see if it works out! :) That's awesome. So many people waste huge amounts of their lives or even all of their lives working jobs they hate for other people.. If you can make a living doing what you love.. Sometimes I think that'sworth it even if you're not as wealthy as you woulda been, cause.. You can't really put a price on your time and what you enjoy. Someone who lives less wealthy but doing what they love, might live a way better life than someone who's rich but hates what they do.. It all just depends.
But ideally.. You could combine the two, and do what you love and be abundant in wealth.. That's the dream, though we definitely don't all make it there. Especially the way this world is set up. Though, I think following your dreams are really important.. One of the most important things, so good for you!

I agree with some people about the follow and follow me back thing, they don't get that you are trying to be helpful. lol they never respond, but I feel it is important to do... and do it as politely as I can. Other people see it too, so it keeps other people from saying it. When people do it on my page, lol, I'm a little more blunt and might use a gif like...
or maybe something more subtle like....
lol, but I try to be nice on other people's blogs.
I agree with you about wealth too. It is all about quality of life. If you can do what you love and live like you want then, it all works. I'm still working towards living like I want, but I have goals and I'll reach them one way, come hell or high water. haha

Hey. Sorry for the delayed response. I get a bit overwhelmed with all the social media and messages sometimes and I'm pretty good with technology and type like 100 words a min and have more free time than a lot of people but it's still just too much to keep up with sometimes. Heh. I try though. I try to respond to as many people as I reasonably can as much as I reasonably can. I think that's important.

And yeah.. I think many of them are sorta like bots.. They just copy paste stuff and it's much more automated than authentic.. If someone seems genuine, I'll usually respond to them. If they seem like a bot, I might not.

Yeah I got a fujifilm finepix s2950... I got it for cheap so it was a nice steal and does the trick. I'm learning about shutter speed, exposure, aperture etc... so I can take more professional looking photos. It's something I always wanted to do so I'm giving it a try and hoping to add it to the long list of things I already do lol.
