On the recent trip to ZegeVege festival, I have bought this unusual bottle of beer to try. While I'm not that much of a beer drinker, actually I rarely drink anything at all, I always liked to try different beers when I had the chance.
And this one is definitely different! Not your usual type of beer. Check out the color!
Since everything here is about green color (hemp), I decided that the best place for taking a photo would my front yard, on the terrace facing the woods.
It definitely has a typical beer smell when you open it and, unlike the color, the taste when you drink it is typical too. The difference is when you swallow it - the flavor that sticks on your taste buds is probably weird for anyone that never tried hemp products (or cannabis haha). The overall taste is light, the beer has an average 4,8% of alcohol and it's very refreshing. Hemp is one of the strongest plants out there and this beer is quite eye-catching.
One thing that also differs it from other sorts of beer is that it is NOT best served cold - the recommended serving temperature is between 10 and 12°C.
It is nice to see that a local 5th Element brewery has some weird and unusual beers to offer to their customers.
