I reached the humble milestone of 1000 followers and appreciate the gratitude, comments, advice and support from fellow Steemians, especially the learned, the resteeming minnows and dedicated Orcas and Whales. These photos were taken yesterday and today (Sunday) in Santa Monica near Lifeguard Tower 25 in Ocean Park.

Great capture on the fisherman, more so in that I don't ever recall seeing fishermen down at SM Beach. On the Pier and near state beach I have. Must of have been biting that evening. That photo bombing bird is back!

Thank you man! So true as fisherman wouldn't even attempt it given only swimmers and surfers down here. Was lucky I got that shot.

That beach. Didn't one of your last posts have the same beach from the same angle, also during the sunset? :P I remember seeing something like that not so long ago.

I love the way the sky looks so clear in the blue one, but I prefer the sky in the last one, the combination of colours looks as if it had been taken right out of a painting. A bit of orange brought upwards and mixed with the grey and then the blue of the sky. Combined with the vignette, the bird and the semi-circular position of the clouds, it's a masterful composition. 10/10

Oh, no, I missed the second one with the palm trees! I love it <3 The repeated distance between each tree, including a street lamp. I am reminded of flag arrays in international encounters, only this time it's just trees against the sunset. The big distorted sun with the clouds is awesome. I need to learn how to do that. The first time I saw it was here with you.

Sunset and Sunrise are the two best assets Earth has..The sunset and Sunrise makes the world a living scenery if you can actually see it in reality as your pictures are now a scenery so well shotted hatsoff 1000times ...Love your pictures Sir..1000 times because of your milestone of crossing 1000followers
