There are very few other simpler pleasures than to be able to procure breakfast from your own garden.

This morning I prepared fried naan topped with garlic, French beans...

Carrots and carrot greens...

that I sautéed in ghee (clarified butter) I made this morning. Nothing compares eating things you grew yourself!

To this I added a fried egg from one of my Ameracaunas, fresh eggs are always such a treat!

I picked a couple of tomatoes and discovered my first Candy Corn pumpkin of the season!

I understand to many mornings such as this might seem simple and uneventful, but until you have cared for and tended a patch of land, a flock oh hens, a homestead- some will never know how it feels to receive gifts from our universe you so worked hard for with a lot of hard work and beads of sweat on your forehead. I would never trade this ever!

What is one thing you love doing that you feel is rewarding?

Lovely day friend and happy cooking!

I totally agree.

"For ages it was considered menial to till the soil; wherefore the idea that soil toil is a curse, whereas it is the greatest of all blessings."

I really enjoy your posts.

You put it so beautifully! Thank you!
Following you :)
Lovely evening to you!

Thank you.

It makes me happy to see all the goodness you bring in from your efforts on the homestead.

Thank you, all the early mornings, the evenings spent cleaning up the chicken coop, cooking at home for my loved ones, it is all worth it .

Looks very tasty, I need to try this :)

I recommend it!

I live in a rented property and my garden is too small to grow veggies and keep chickens. However, there is a plum and an apple tree in the backyard. I also planted some gooseberries and brambles. We have a blackcurrant bush, lots of herbs and some edible flowers. I love cooking with them!

And these gifts from your soil are wonderful as well! Even if it's a single herb plant helping you to season your meals, it's all a gift from Gaia to us. :)

I can taste it from here! The taste from the garden is incomparable. The basil from my garden has 10x more flavor than dried parsley flakes bought at the store! Beautiful post I love to 'receive gifts from the universe' :)

Oh this is so true! Hard work pays off and it's comforting to know what my family is eating. I grown tons of different basils as well! Such versatile little herb!
Thank you, and may the universe continue blessing you with wonderful goodness.

In the morning I would take some Chinese long beans from my plants and eat them like candy in the back yard and after that I would grab a lemon cucumber from those plants and eat that in the yard also. Then for dessert I would pick a ripe fig. So delicious.

These are true blessings! I miss having a fig tree.

Talking to the Bear😄, hopefully one day he becomes a great conversationalist. You should have thrown this brekky between two slices of Naan and joined the #steemitsandwichcontest 😄

You had to throw in the plug right? haha I love sandwiches, I just might ;)

I think with your grace in putting words together, the little guy will be just that and more!

Hi baby doll, how are you. Please don't forget me, do cast your valuable upvote to my post too. Happy steeming friend.

Of course and thank you!

Se ve muy rico y fácil de hacer, aunque yo soy muy mal cocinero. Un abrazo.

Super facil! Creo q si lo podrá hacer :)
Buen dia!

Now you've made me really hungry as I sit here waiting on car repairs. I love your delicious culinary skills! Naan bread is so versatile and tasty.
You are so right about about the gifts of homesteading and it does bring great joy.
Joy for me is tending to my flock and of course my nature wanderings especially when I find treasures. I love my partner who is a joy to be with, such a positive individual who brings light into this world.❤️🐓

Cuidese mucho y feliz domingo. :)

Igualmente amigo!
