Color Fun / Myakka River State Park

Almost scary getting close to the water at night. Many Giant alligators lurk the waters of Myakka State Park.

That is a beautiful view of the setting sun on the water, but I don't know if I would have been able to enjoy it with the threat of alligators. I was surprised to find out from a friend of mine who lives In Tampa, FL just how bold the alligators have gotten. He showed me a video of an alligator climbing a chain link fence! I applaud you for sticking around and getting that "golden hour" photo.

Yes. Lucky I have not had much trouble with them. I was fishing one day and had to move when an alligator started to approach me. He might have been attracted to the disturbance in the water. No taking a chance though.
