Florence is a must visit city in Italy for every traveller which enjoys history, beautiful sights/monuments and amazing viewpoints. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered it is not difficult to find a viewpoint in this city that takes your breath away.
For me visiting this Tuscan beauty was a dream come true, as I have been wanting to see this place ever since it appeared in the movie Hannibal (2001). I must say what struck me the most is the immense amount of great food. And by saying great food, I do not only mean great looking food, but also food that tastes great (Pastry shops on every corner).
I visited Florence in July and as a result of the scorching hot weather, I expected way less tourists, but I must say it was crowded with travelers from all over the world all eager to explore the city and its beauties. Of course, you can't blame them.
As far as the sightseeing goes, it was really interesting to see and walk over Ponte Vecchio as the whole bridge is filled with designer jewelry shops, which many tourists including myself do not ever set a foot in one of those shops but just gaze while walking over the beautiful bridge.
I will end this post with a warm recommendation to every reader to put a visit to Florence and Tuscany on their bucket list, as I believe it is simply too glorious not to see its mind-boggling beauty.
Having said that, I would like to hear your recommendations on where to travel at the end of this summer! Thanks for your recommendations in advance.
