I was trying to take a short five second exposure and capture what was in front of me without having the moon blow out the photo. I decided to try and take the photo with as much of the moon behind the cactus I could get. This is not the ideal situation for capturing the Milky way and the night sky but it will work in a pinch. I edited the photo to bring out the details and make the photo pop a little more.
