A Few Of The Animals In South Dakotas Custer State Park

in photography •  7 years ago

Last week my wife, my children and I took a trip to South Dakota.  While there we spent some time in Custer State Park.  While making our way through the park we saw an abundance of wildlife.  Below is a photo of my sons favorite donkey.

Antelope can be spotted roaming throughout the area.  The one below was feeding in a field. As we passed by I stopped for the chance to take a picture.

Further down the road a herd of buffalo lounged in the grassy prairie lands.  This particular one was alone and offered a chance to capture an amazing image.

If you are ever in the Black Hills region of South Dakota, be sure to visit Custer State Park.  It is an experience that my family will never forget.

Love the Bison photo! They are such amazing gigantic animals. Saw them up close in the Yukon and was so impressed. And I adore the Black Hills. It's an amazing spot.

Bison are amazing... you can't imagine just how big they are until you get up close to them!
