While people in the first world seem to be dressed like well prepared eskimos ready for a new ice age when temperatures fall a couple of degrees, this can not be said for a lot of different animals that live outside a nice, comfy and warm house.
Most of these animals are in a state called 'hibernation' in the winter season, but snow or other heavy weather can disrupt that deep 'rest' in a matter of no time. They find themselves in a frozen world, lost their food they've gathered in the months before and are forced to search for a meal that isn't there...
And then you have, of course, the birds ; They travel extraordinary distances looking for the sun or just stay home, battling nature every day!

We can help these brave creatures in a very simple way ;
Instead of dumping those leftovers of our extended dinners right in the garbage can we can leave them at a strategic place outside, knowing we're doing the animal kingdom a great favor.
I can assure you confidently they'll show their gratitude on a beautiful morning in spring, by whistling one of their amazing songs to wake you up. ;-)
