Çeşme Castle and Museum

Çeşme is a decent resort in Izmir / Turkey. It is a popular holiday town and has a very beautiful sea. I could not take more pictures in Çeşme. I will share only a few shots taken at Çeşme Castle and Museum.

I do not know if this unicorn is still there, but I like him.

The photo below is the Çeşme Castle. "During the Growth of the Ottoman Empire, Çeşme was attacked twice by the Venetians in 1472 and in 1501. The castle was built as a precaution against further attacks".

The castle is now open as a museum. In the museum there are many old cannons, ship anchors, anfora, swords etc. In the museum you can also see the archaeological finds collected near regions.

Like that cannon:

And its mechanism. It looks pretty rough.

or this anchor... Its height of about two men.

Finally, the view from the castle.

I would like to show you more beautiful photographs, but for now I have them. Maybe next time...
