My visits to Rotterdam almost always start or end in the Markthal. It is a unique 1600m2 building with lots of food stores and restaurants.
The building is completely surrounded by 228 apartments. The people who live inside one of these apartments can look directly inside the market hall.

Heerenveen is small, but cozy.
We have everything from the coffeeshops, to the football stadium, to the ice skating stadium, all within a 15 minut bike ride if you want haha.
