RESTEEM SUNDAY- Focusing on Photography 3rd December 2017

Welcome to 'Resteem Sunday' once again!

This is my 3rd week doing this. I basically go through the photography that catches my eye and resteem it (for free) to over 1000 of my follower's!

Why do I resteem? Well, for one, it gets your work out there to more eyes without you having to pay for it. I believe that other people should resteem work more often, it would help share the love and get more posts seen, especially for newer community members that don't yet have a following or can't afford to buy upvotes.

What is my criteria? I don't really have one! The main things I look for are originality, THIS IS A MUST!!! No plagiarism please if you put forward your work to be resteemed, it won't happen plus you will go on my naughty list ;) I also focus on people that aren't already receiving a high payout for their work, it doesn't necessarily mean their account has to be below a certain rep, but the work in my opinion is worth more.

What do I gain from doing this? Nothing lol I have a few things in the pipeline that I am working on that will hopefully help us amateur photographers to be able to come together, discuss our work and help each other out. There may also be some other incentives if I can get more backing.

I usually provide an upvote too, but my account is resting right now due to being hammered recently and the votes being depleted. It should be back up and running by next weeks resteem session. I am also looking at other ways that I can increase my SP so that I can help more people, this still has some work that needs done, but should be coming fairly soon.

I am excited about the future guys, we have a great community of amateur photographer's and we need to keep everyone here! If we help each other out the best we can, we will build something awesome.

absolutely! Although I can't vote right now lol my power is too low, it is resting up to gain power again. But the resteem day is still happening so the selected original photography blogs will be resteemed to over 1000 followers :)

hello @beautifulbullies it's been a while. I can't tell if my ill health affected my eyes; did you change your camera or editing style?

haha no the camera is still the same (sigh) but I do tend to mix it up with my editing. I tend to see where the picture takes me. If I am doing a historical topic, I go with antique style filters, nature shots I deepen the colours etc so yes, my photography style changes a lot. I am sure one day I will find my favorite, but for now I love to play with different methods :) I hope you are feeling much better @fona!

Great shot...and thank you for your efforts to grow the community of photographers here. I am hooked on Steemit after just a couple weeks of regularly posting my photos, and I really appreciate your long term approach to improving the platform for everyone. Thanks for all you do!

No problem! there are many photographer communities on steemit, its just finding them that is the hard part. I will do a post at some point with all the great places to chat and competitions that you can join in with your photography. There is so much more to steemit than posting :)

No doubt there is more to it that just posting, and I am finally starting to meet (and interact with) more people on Steemit. I started by focusing on photography and that community, but I am looking forward to expanding into other topics that interest me too, and some that I want to learn more about. Which reminds me...I am way overdue for a proper "introduceyourself" post.
