This is from a series of photos I took while exploring Colorado ghost towns with my wife back in 2011. The town of Dearfield wasn't more than a series of small wooden homes on the verge of collapse.
Apparently, it was a settlement built for African Americans in 1910. Then came the Great Depression and the population dropped over the next few decades.
I don't know much more than that, but if anyone has any interesting knowledge of the town, please comment!
