Sweater photoshoot with a professional model.steemCreated with Sketch.

Shooting with a professional model is different than shooting with an inspiring amateur model. Both of those cases have their differences.

While shooting with an amateur model allows you to find those hidden gems, they usually need more direction. Professional models tend to have "That Model Look" on them they are easier to work with, but most of the time you will end with that look that is so familiar.

For this particular photoshoot we were doing some images for my friend who loves to knit and has quite of collection of knit wear. We had a little budget for a model so we placed a paid casting on BeScouted and got ourselves a young professional model.

And that intense look that i loved about this model that goes so well with soft knitwear.

Good thing about professional models is that that they tend to be more reliable. For this photoshoot model had to wake up early like 5 AM and travel from a different city. She was pinpoint on time.

Since it was early a morning, coffee went really well with a few editorial shots :)

That we did in a small coffee place in an old town of Vilnius.

And we have even managed to do some morning exercise

Have a cosy and energetic day!

She is a wonderful model and you have done your part of job extremely well @bescouted. These photos could go to any fashion magazine.

Thank you very much for such a nice comment mate :-)

Lovely Design of sweater...

Yes, she is quite good at it. Because she loves what she does probably? :)

Thanks for reply..

Love your work David. I bet modelling pays well especially for the pros.

Thanks mate. To be honest, the average pro model pay is ~18k USD per year. So it is not much, considering the fact that there is a distinction of:

  1. What model costs to a client is not what model gets paid.
  2. Model would usually get 30% of the sum, sometimes 50.
  3. Only very few professional models in the world a getting paid those fantastic sums of money.

That is why we are developing that freelance platform BeScouted where freelance models, photographers, makeup artists would get in direct connection with businesses and would be paid 100% of the value that helps businesses to cut the cost and shoot more often. And empowers freelancers to earn more avoiding the middleman.

Oh I love this session! She is great and definitely knows how to make those big, woolly sweaters look great (and so edgy on the first photos with that look).
Great photos :D

Thanks Ewa :) Pro is a pro :)

Oh didn't know so much is cut from the pay of models. You have my respect in your support in helping out models and photographers to get the pay they much deserve. Also getting exposure for them is a big thing. Much respect in what you are doing. You're a legend mate. Re steeming your post.

I am just a simple guy, that is trying not to think just about himself, it always pays back in a long run. Thanks mate.

Good work my friend!

I like this first picture, how it looks in camera :) very good :) Soon I photography too some model. And I can make something big.

Yes, professional model to do have that special look in the camera. I'll be waiting for you all model shots mate, I'm sure it will be something big :-) not the model I mean :-) well, even the model can be big and still damage can be great :-)

Sure, but I have to be patient, and then soon. :))

That was indeed a very intense look. Do you think maybe all pro models have that look because they are angry they have to get up so early? lol :)

Maybe it is because they have to stay hungry? lol

That would explain it lol!

I agree, professional model are... so easier to work with. I am not an experienced fashion photographer but I already felt the difference. Nice pictures, I love the 1st one the most and the jumping one.

It definitely is. At the same time it is different. They kind of tend to look all the same in all the images? While amateurs are hard to work with but you can get unexpected candid results :) So i like both :)

True that...

Having never worked with one, I can only comment on what I see. The seductive without trying look. Professional.

The first sultry, pouty look and the one jumping in the street are probably my favorites, although, I do love all of them, up to and including the close up of the pattern.

I tend to agree with you that the unusual, the unposed, the surprise shot of the amateur could be better, just look at the character of street shots.

As usual, your photography is awesome. I had a good time. Can I go on the next shoot?

Upped and Steemed

You are always welcome :) I probably misused the word better. I should have said different. It is hard to use better worse when you talk about photography or any other form of art by the matter. Thank you for your compliments, i am flattered :)

Truth. And I even copied your wrongness. :)) Different is a much better term. Nothing is wrong or better. It is in the eye of the beholder.

Oh, as always, it is my pleasure.

Exactly, and only stupid people see only two colors :)

Are you threatening me!? My bungole will not wait!

both HOT ! very nice series @bescouted !

Thanks, mate :)
