If you decide to do a Masca walk while in Tenerife, Spain here are two reasons why you should do some stone balancing on your way down.

Reason number one. The Lesser One.

If you are lucky, on a less busy day you might get into a stretch without seeing a human soul for half an hour or even an hour. Even though it does not seem much, but once you are surrounded by those majestic cliffs in splendid and chaotic order of volcano eruptions you feel very small and alone. Seeing those cute small structures clearly made by a man is really calming and somewhat pleasant. I do not know why, maybe because it is at least cute. Earn a few karma points and it is fun!

Reason number two. The Bigger One.

While the walk itself is not very difficult you MUST watch your step. You will be jumping from rock to rock on your way down, stepping on loose boulders and sometimes traversing a meter wide path with a cliff on your side,
which is surely high enough to injure yourself badly if you fall or even die. So you MUST be very careful and surefooted.

All of this makes you concentrate a lot on where you are stepping, meaning looking down, when all the beauty is above you. Turn around and you will see a completely different view of the point you have just passed. That is why, if you stop, and do some stone balancing you will get your breath back, earn some karma points, engage in a very amusing activity AND you will have time to look around and enjoy majestic surroundings.

i like the black and white photography :)

Fantastic B&W pics!

Makes sense alright, surely the most important reason is the kick ass shots you also get from it ;)

Ofc, and the memories you carry for the rest of your life.

Absolutely stunning images. Reading it, I was thinking of the people that probably had a little too much alcohol with their food up in the restaurant, and then try walking down. Not a great plan :)

One definitely should not do that. Too dangerous.
