I call this rose 'The pride of Solitaire' - Solitaire is the name of our house. This rose has several layers and it has bloomed perfectly. The plant is rickety but it has yielded this perfect rose. I just had to capture it in my camera as it is not everyday that i will get to see such roses in my garden. In fact the second rose did not impress me.
Roses are a fussy lot. They need a lot of attention - good feed, mulching, change of soil, right amount of sun and right amount of water. It is worth the trouble as just one rose can brighten up any garden.
