Exactly Joey! Its a matter of not allowing yourself to get engulfed in those emotions because they only bring more negative emotions.

Agreed, we should not be too focused on depression, on negativity, and focus on what we can do, in things we can be proud of, content in, as it inspires us to go on and on.
