Light It Up

Nothing like the primitive feel of burning wood. The smell that it generates is indistinguishable. And it lingers on clothes for hours afterward!

Sure the pit may have been snowed over and wet, but with the cheater technique I use to start fires, I got it goin no problem in 5 minutes.

The warmth emanating from the glow of the fire soothes the inner primal driving force. Tells me to relax a bit and enjoy the crisp, cool Winter air. Oh wait, it’s 5 weeks from Winter.

I’m not shocked by the strange weather.

When all the research points to this exact kind of stuff happening. More precipitation in all forms.

At least I know, at this moment, I can quickly and consistently light a fire for warmth, if the need would ever arise. For that day could happen tomorrow, or it could be never. Better prepared than not. I will make sure that if I ever migrate locations, that I will be able to do the same there.
