Moments Before Sunrise - All Is Still

First photos this morning just before the Sun crested the horizon.

Snow is indiscriminate in what it blankets across the landscape as it falls from the clouds above.

And is such an aesthetic booster to any photograph. It can enhance contours of the lands topography, reveal drainage pathways not easily spotted from above before, easily outline animal tracks and in some cases spot live animals. And it can wash out any imperfections in the land, making everything a smooth white finish.

Where it seems so many people find such displeasure in snow, and the labor it brings, I find myself enjoying every moment I can with the naturally occurring material. For much like our lives, it is only temporary.

Makes me wonder how many people on this planet that have never witnessed such a thing as snow falling from the sky. Sort of like myself and not having seen the Aurora Borealis yet, something I will look forward to witnessing in the future.
