The flowers are yellow and unravel in any wind away from the stem. In this detach, loose a knot and leave in the air a smell of sperm. Its flowers are hermaphrodites, composed of five whitish petals, free from each other, with numerous and showy stamens (masculine).

The pequi tree blossoms during the months of August
to November, with ripening fruits from September (normally November) until the beginning of February.
