Conversations With A Hairy Cactus

"Is not easy to have hair all over your body, you know?!"... said the little cactus, "Having hair everywhere, all tangled... the heat, all the sweating... is all messed up". I nod with my head agreeing with him, after all I'm not covered in hair and I sweat a lot thanks to this merciless heat. I don't want to imagine how awful it is to be hairy in this weather. "On top of that I have tiny thorns everywhere and my hair gets stucked in them. I know you can't pull my hair cause if you do it I will end up bald and probably will die but you know, I really envy bald people right now". The little cactus looked at the cloudy sky wishing for some rain to relieve him from the sweaty hair. Next to him was his brother, a hairless thorny cactus that doesn't sweat at all and don't know the struggles of hairy beings.

"I don't mind the heat, tho! I'm hairless and the hot weather makes my thorns grow bigger and stronger." said the "bald" cactus. "Shut up baldie! What do you know about hairy suffering?! I have hair even in places I shouldn't! I sweat in places I don't wanna speak about! I can't even comb my hair, for God sake, cause it can fall and only feel relieved when the human waters me or the rain comes"... "But too much rain can kill us..." - interrupted the bald cactus with a worrying voice - "...you know that!" The hairy cactus looked at the tiny one and said "Pfrrr, coward! Rain is life for the hairy!" Silence followed that sentence... the clouds kept moving and the hope of getting rain started to fade. The hairy cactus let a long sigh escape and then said "Here comes more sweat!"
