I have a friend that have lots of cactus in her balcony and she says you have to be mean with them so they can survive and bloom... and you know what? She is right! Just put it in a place with lots of sun and water it once per week. In winter (if you live in a place that have snow) put them inside a box and put it in a closet and leave it there alone until spring comes, then take it out water it and to the sun again.
